Stance is the first in an all-new line of handguns from Savage and built to deliver the kind of modern performance and ease of ownership you’re looking for. Stance is designed to be comfortable and functional in the hand thanks to its defined surface textures and adjustable grip. Follow these simple steps to learn how to change the backstrap on Stance.

Multiple pieces come into play when considering an ergonomic grip on a pistol. Some of these pieces include texture, circumference, and angle. The Stance offers an aggressive grip texture wrapped 360 degrees around the grip for a secure fit in your palm under many circumstances while not being too aggressive for a concealed carry firearm. The grip circumference is the distance from the backstrap to the trigger; which can vary widely from shooter to shooter. This is why Stance is shipped with both a small and large backstrap to accommodate different grip sizes. Lastly, the grip angle also plays a role in the point of aim. Stance is equipped with an 18 degree grip angle which is a proven grip angle for a more natural point of aim given its steeper grip angle than most. The combination of these three things, among others, are what makes a pistol fit just right for the shooter.

WARNING! Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. Make sure your firearm is completely unloaded before attempting any field stripping or disassembly. Always wear safety glasses when field stripping or during disassembly/reassembly of your pistol.
